Is it required to have a gfci on a 4 wire dryer outlet? I see the NEC reference saying that all new install shall be 4 wire type with neutral and ground but the GFCI section references only 125 VAC not 250 VAC. All our dryers on the base are within 6 feet of sinks so our safety office is writing them up for GFCI but I need the actual reference to complete the upgrade or it will not happen. Any inputs greatly appreciated.
