gfci oultet behind sink

Does the code specifically prohibit installing a countertop gfci receptacle behind a sink? It's obviously not a good idea or practice, but I haven't found a specific reference.

Check 210.52(C)
Wall space not counted behind a sink if less than 12" from sink to wall or less than 18" if behind a sink mounted in a corner.

You can put one under those conditions, but not required.
