Are there any NEC or NFPA requirements to install GFCIs outlets in an industrial production building that will be used as convenience outlets?
Typically, we install convenience quad outlets (120V @ 20A) on each floor. These outlets would be used by maintenance or production for power tools or fans, etc.

Basically - Kitchen areas, outside, rooftops, garages (protection for personnel) 210.8(A) through (C) now there is an exception for industrial establishments. I tried to copy/paste but more or less it says its not needed where there are qualified personnel in the building and there is a assured equipment grounding conductor program in place as specified in 590.6(b) basically the answer is yes and no, where the GF would cause more problems tripping than if it were not there. So a GF popped and shut down product till a man got there costing the company 20 grand, lmao check out 210.8B exceptions and 5906b2:happysad:
