? is that receptacle located in that exhaust fan ,in the bathroom ? if so then it needs gfci protection.I know it is unlikely to be used for other than the fan motor but it either is or isn't a receptacle.

Jim, c'mon.
The receptacle inside the exhaust fan is for the exhaust motor.
There is no way that it is meant to be included in this requirement.
Are you saying that your inspectors are enforcing such an opinion?

no there not.All i am pointing out is that it is in bathroom area.Yes it is unlikely to cause a problem but it is a receptacle and the code did say ALL and does not mention any exception for dedicated use.
Just having some fun with this one,no i don't put it on gfci

Glad you replied to that statment Jim as I was going to say if it was required to be GFCI protected it still would be a violation of 406.3(A)
