Maybe I haven’t had enough coffee yet, but this code doesn’t seem to read right to me. 210.8(B)

(B) Other Than Dwellings. GFCI protection is required for all 125V through 250V receptacles supplied by single-phase branch circuits rated 150V or less to ground, 50A or less, and all receptacles supplied by three-phase branch circuits rated 150V or less to ground, 100A or less, installed in the following locations.

SO let me re-write this with a question. How can you require GFCI protection on ***ALL 125V THROUGH 250 V RECEPTACLES** supplied by single phase branch circuits ***RATED 150V OR LESS TO GROUND…..?

Like, someone installing a 250 volt rated receptacle on a single phase 120 volt branch circuit?

150v to ground or less. 250v receptacle falls under the 150v or less to ground. So yes all 250v and 120V receptacles are req. if installed in those locations.

Picture a receptacle on a 208/120v 3ph circuit.

What voltage rating would you choose for the receptacle?

What would be the voltage to ground?
