Gfci receptacle feed through

Does anyone know if there is a limit on how many receptacles downstream that you can feed from a gfci?? I never really looked at this, I think maybe its in the manufacturers instructions.
There is no limit however extremely long distances between the line in and the end of the circuit can cause some issues.

I have heard 10 recep after the GFCI but have never seen that in print.

Dennis,
Perhaps you are referring to "accumulated leakage".
In renovations, old circuits, and accumulated leakage can be a limiting factor.

The pass-thru contacts should be rated at 15A/20A,
but leakage is what the GFCI is all about.
