GFCI receptacle in commercial parking garage?

Does the receptacle installed in commercial parking garage need to be GFCI type and has weatherproof cover? Thanks!
 
Check out 511.12. I'd just use GFCI anyway. The weather proof part depends on the location.
 
See 511.3A Parking would be unclassified area....

However - since it is not shown in 210.8B for GFI protection I would technically say No... But common sense prevailing - YES....

Weather-proofed from "weather" I assume, or just because?
 
lets put it this way, just what do they plan on using it for that would not need it. I recently did addition to parking garage. Old had no gfci and guess what was used for construction ?
Safe ? h--- no. I would actually call it stupid and asking to get sued.
