GFCI receptacle within 6 ft of edge of sink even if they are separated by wall?

I run into this often. The receptacle is within 6 feet of a sink but there is a wall separating the receptacle from the sink. Does the GFCI rule still apply?

If you can reach the receptacle with a 6' cord from the inside edge of the sink, yes.
If you have to bust a hole in the wall, no.

For the drawing you gave, put the dang GFCI in and be gone.
or Dual function everything, which sounds like the trend and makes sense unless you are looking to be the absolute bottom dollar on each project.

Yes, but just put ONE GFCI in, for all three.

The OP should know, as @rc/retired said, that it's as wire feet rule. Can you drop a corded lamp into a sink, if it's plugged into the outlet?
