I know it's pointless, but is there anything wrong with two GFCI outlets on one circuit?

Just curious, how does this cause nucience tripping. Does having two units on the same circuit cause them both to be more sensitive?

Do you mean two GFI receps on an un-GFIed line ?
or do you mean the first GFI recep protecting the line side of the second GFI recep. ?

The first way is fine and commonly done and the second way is unconventional but, OK and legal.

A GFI protecting a GFI would offer redundancy of protection (good) but would cause some confusion for a person needing to reset the GFI and also would be confusing for a servicing electrician.

Acually I don't know. I was asked the question the other day, but I haven't had a chance to look at the circuit yet. Thanks for the input.

I HAVE SEE SIX ON THE SAME CIRCUIT, YOU COULD NOT PREDICT WHICH ONE OR MORE THAT WOULD TRIP AT ANYONE TIME IN TESTING, I SAW NOTHING IN THE CODE TO STOP IT. GEO
