IS A GFCI REQUIRED ON A WATER COOLER USED IN AN INDUSTRY
THERE ARE TWO TYPES ONE TYPE IS FOR BOTTLED WATER COOLERS, SECOND TYPE IS STAND-UP WATER FOUNTAINS, BOTH WITH CORD AND PLUG CONNECTION. THEY ARE USED IN OFFICES, THEY CAN BE INSTALLED WITH DEDICATED SINGLE 20 AMP RECEPTACLES.

Re: GFCI

It depends. Where is it located? Is it hardwired or cord and plug connected? If it's cord and plug and it's located in a bathroom, on a rooftop, or in a kitchen it does.

Re: GFCI

Please turn off the ALL CAPS feature. It makes the post more difficult to read. It is also considered impolite, as though you were SHOUTING at us.

Re: GFCI

KEITH, WELCOME TO THE FORUM. IT IS CONSIDERED GOOD FORUM ETIQUETTE TO USE THE EDIT FEATURE ONLY FOR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR ERRORS.

FURTHERMORE, ONCE PEOPLE HAVE RESPONDED TO YOUR QUESTION, IT IS GOOD ETIQUETTE NOT TO GO BACK AND CHANGE YOUR ORIGINAL POST BECAUSE IT MESSES THE WHOLE THING UP, AND MAKES THE THREAD A CONFUSING MESS.

THANK YOU.

MY USING ALL CAPS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF BAD FORUM ETIQUETTE. :D

Re: GFCI

In general, not required. But it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions.
