I am not aware of any current or old NEC requirements for a receptacle to be installed in a non-dwelling unit bathroom. Typically non-dwelling unit receptacle requirements are a design issue.

In that case you don't have to have one in the bathroom.....BUT....if you do have one it needs to be GFCI. Does that make sense?

of course that makes sense...just put a blank cover on it if you have an outlet there instead of procuring and installing a gfci ....and then... you are done!

That's one way to think about the next guy, eh? It could be you.

You'd be surprised, Bob......or maybe you wouldn't

'spaln it to me.

The NEC is a safety code, it has no business forcing receptacles in every non-dwelling bathroom. But if the person paying the bills decides to put one in the NEC should require it be GFCI. In my opinion

I meant it wouldn't surprise you simple things not making sense to some people. Geez, you're so serious.
