When I tested my GFI outlet. It checked out to be Ground / Hot Reversed. I checked the GFI outlet and it was not reversed. What else would make the GFI outlet test out this way. Please advise..

Re: Gfi problem

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like a wiring problem. Better get the electrician to look at it.

What did you use to test with that gave you the polarity information?

I think you are using the wrong words to describe what the tested told you. If there were power on the ground wire, then you would get a shock every time you touched a metal thing that has wires going to it.

The Forum rules prohibit us from giving assistance to a person who is not an electrician, and who plans to do their own electrical troubleshooting and repair work.
