Please tell me if the nec requires a gfi outlet in public bathrooms and bathrooms in an office bld or is it up to someone else to decide it. :roll:
 
Article 210.52(d) requires it in a residential bathroom, but there are very few requirements for commercial receptacle placement. I believe it is up to the designer. Short answer - I would say no.
 
Brad is correct. If 15A or 20A receptacles are installed in the locations you mentioned, they must have GFCI protection. But you don't have to install receptacles at all if you don't want to. See 210.8(B)(1).
