I have a floor box 28x32x26d in a exibition hall with (6) 20amp duplex recp (1) 100amp 3p4w recp
data outlets 4"drain,air and water line without dividers between compartments.

Do these recp require GFI and if not why not.

Re: GFI Protection

No. This is commercial and this is not a kitchen. My question is why is all of this in the same box? The thing that concerns me is the water connection. Since this is below the floor there is a possibility this pit could fill with water given that the drain was clogged.

Re: GFI Protection

Ok, but what do you do about the 3 phase 100 amp?

You are just looking to put a band-aid on a problem with something that shouldn't have been done that way in the first place. Would you put these receptacles inside of a bath tub then try to figure a way to make them safe? That's what you are trying to do!

Rather than hope GFI's will work, you need to put your efforts into getting the electrical into a separate area away from the water.
