GFI Receptacle

I live in Florida, and the GFI receptacle for the outlets on my screen porch is located in the garage. This is where I plug in a chest freezer.
Constantly this trips, thus causing the freezer to shut off, unnoticed of course. Thus the result is rotten food. Can I remove this receptacle, safely, I know it should not be done, but it is costly having this here.

You should contact a licensed electrical contractor in your area who would know the local code issues.
