Correct me if I'm wrong. If Washer and dryer are separate appliances, washer needs to be GFI (20A dedicated), and Dryer (30A/2p dedicated) does not. If you have washer/dryer combo you do not need a GFI, just typical 30A/2P dedicated?

Is it common to ask for 30A GFI breaker in this scenario?

Thanks,

WA L&I has held back adoption of some of the GFCI requirements due to product non availability
Check the Currents newsletter at LNI.WA.GOV
When I used to instruct classes I suggested that every electrician should subscribe to Currents, which was first published in 1998 when Janet Lewis was CEI. Early one I gave out copies as not every electrician had email. The CEI at LnI uses Currents to publish code changes that are not in the current 296-46B, which makes it hard to find them, as you have to back thru many issues.
