GFPE for door heaters

Is GFPE required for freezer door heaters? They contain heat trace around the frame and also in the door. Never seen an engineer require it or anyone installing GFPE for it.
 
If it is hard wired and not cord and plug connected I don't believe it would need protction of GFEP.

Check the manfactures installation instructions, they might have such a requirement.

I am not aware of any NEC code section that requires a door heater on a freezer to be GFPE protected.
