The NEC distringuishes between Ground Fault Protection for Personel and Ground Fault Protection for Equipment. UL likewise has 943 for the former and 1053 for the latter. That latter category, correct me if I'm wrong includes the 3 types of ground fault you would typically find on a 480V switchboard over 1000A typically via a trip unit but also could be a zero sequence CT or Ground CT. My question is under which UL standard does a 30mA GFEP circuit breaker fall?

UL943 calls devices with a trip point higher than 4-6mA GFCIs and that creates confusion because when you are using the NEC only Class A devices with a 4-6mA trip are GFCIs.
UL 943 only covers Class A devices.
The UL Guide Information for "Equipment Ground-fault Protective Devices (FTTE)" says " The basic standard used to investigate products in this category is ANSI/UL 1053, "Ground-Fault Sensing and Relaying Equipment." Some requirements are also derived from ANSI/UL 943, "Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupters."
