Hello, I'm looking to see if anyone may have experience or an idea of how glamping sites would be specified in the NEC.
I can't see to pin down an exact definition to apply to glamping sites. If you're unfamiliar, glamping is luxury camping, geodesic domes, bubbles, tipis, all of which will usually have amenities such as heating/cooling, water heaters, general use outlets, etc.
They're campsites, but they're unlike rv parks because you can't just plug them in, they need hard wire hook ups at each site. I'm going about sizing all of the mini splits, water heaters, and general lighting and receptacles, but I can't seem to determine if I should count each as a single dwelling unit, or the campsite itself as a multi dwelling. Each campsite has an outdoor toilet and shower and a gas grill (cooking provisions?)
The campsite will also have a home on it where the electric pole will be located, and the idea is to bring the power to the home, and then branch out to the campsite and the individual sites from there
Anyone have any opinion or experience on this? I'd like to get a definition on the occupancy so I can add derating and see what's feasible as far as getting a service out there.
Any help much appreciated, thank you
