I am newbie to the forum and to engineering with a project to fire stop openings between foundry power supply rooms and induction furnaces. Water-cooled cables penetrate the openings: 2743 V, to power a 17777 kW furnace. Wooden cable ladders support the cables through the openings; 3-950 mm^2 and 1-420 mm^2 and 6-950 mm^2 and 6-420 mm^2. The cables flex when the furnaces tip. We intend to fill the openings with fire stopping pillows. My questions:
  • The 9-m cables are 195 kg +/- 9%, could GPO-3 support the cables instead of the wooden cable ladders?
  • Would GPO-3 be an appropriate material to permit the cable ladders to be disassembled for periodic cable replacement, then reassembled?
  • In addition to 300.21, which Articles in the Handbook guide the installation of fire stopping?
Thank you.

Fire stopping is very specific to a manufacturers product.
1. What is GPO3?
2. Suggest contacting fire stop mfg
3. Fire stopping is mostly inspected by building AHJ. NEC only covers it in 300.21
