ok. i have a trailer with 700 watts of PV's from go power.
4 large panels, 3 small panels. 1050 AH of lithium. 2KW
inverter. all of it Go Power.

well, i did have 700 watts. somewhere on 101 between pismo beach and
half moon bay, one of the panels departed the trailer at about
65 mph, shattering the one behind it with what looks like a corner
of the departing panel. so i'm down about 250 watts.

it's a 12v. system. there is supposed to be a manufacturers warranty
on the trailer, which one would assume means parts don't fly off.

if they don't honor that, and i have to replace them, am i stuck with
Go Power for compatibility? they seem to want $2 a watt.

Who installed the PV modules on your trailer?

If you have the spec sheet for the modules you can look at different RV sites to see if you can find a match. Go Power white labels the modules they sell so they are just buying whatever is inexpensive and putting their label on it. They don't say what type of connectors they are using but you have to find something that is compatible with what you have now. Frankly, I would pay the $2/W and attach them better, it's not like you will find something for $1/W at an RV store. It's a learning experience, good luck.

turns out, the panels are built to specification regarding size. imperial overland, when informed of the flying PV, warranteed them, and is sending two new ones with mounting hardware UPS.

all is well.

i'm going to my SS guy and making some 304 SS z metal to mount these things to the rack. all of them. i'll put them full length down the sides of the panels.
