I'm looking to start my holiday lighting after this next holiday - manyana is Thanksgiving by the way..... - And was thinking about doing some Gobo's on the cheap. Like say a 75w mr-16... In a sheet metal box on the lawn with a Gobo duct taped to the hole in it.

Not sure if a focusing lens is completely necesarry?
Anyone have experiance with this type of lighting effect?

For those not in the know - it is the effect of shining this on the wall of my house in colors if I like - with some color filters like the good ol' red or green.

brother the last thing i want to do when i get home is electrical work. good luck with it though.

Me niether - but I would be too embarrased to man-handle twinkle lights for the rainy season. And the light is already here just need to order the gobo - slap it on - done.... Maybe get one for halloween too.

I was thinking of getting the Gobo holder for this fixture and doing a few spot welds to the sides of my Vista spot out front... Remember - I said "on the cheap" Theatrical lighting aint....

Either that or retro-fabing some slide projector parts..... (from the thrift store...)
