Gold vs. Silver

I lost my Delmar's book a few years ago, but I think I remember reading in it that silver was a better conductor than gold. Can anyone confirm or refute that? Thanks in advance

I should add that it is the softness and resistance to crosion that gold is selected for mission criticle connections the soft metal makes for constance connections but in higher amprage contacts then silver is better as the lower resistance allows for less heating.
