With our freedoms comes that right to the pursuit of happiness!

You can be here, read, and post a reply, not read not get anything , some choice?s !

I know that a lot of people here have license requirements, and the money gets spent to keep them. That is not the bases of this pole.

The point of the pole is more of a personal one. As to how one would weigh one own findings and precipitation in this or any forum, reading up on all these things electrical, making one think about this and or more things, they might or might not be interested in, but hey its your own freedom of choice to read!

The bottom line is, has reading interactive forums helped you personally, professionally, or in other ways and what did you choice to do about it ?

originally i started in this trade because it paid better than anything else for my age and skill level. after about 10 years or so, the work started to get interesting. plus i felt i had been doing this long enough to decide if this is what i wanted to do with the rest of my life. aside from the electrical risks, there are many others <i.e. carpal tunnel, bad knees, back and neck, etc...> and yet i have decided this is what i want to do and this is where i want to be. so the next steps licensure and proprietorship are slow going for me, but i am almost there. the biggest fear i have is keeping the business afloat, but thats a part of life. so i guess its time to nut up and get on with it.

The way I see it, I was put on this earth to be an electrician. I knew it when I was 10 years old. I enjoy almost every part about being an electrician, and there is nothing I would rather be. I visit a few electrical forums on a daily basis for the most part and try to learn something every day. this forum, along with a few others, has helped me learn quite a bit - and for free! I dont have access to a master electrician to ask questions, but here I do. So, I am happy.
