Morning all.

I am new to these forums so forgive the rather long message that is to follow :)

I am a time-served UK (yes United kingdom!) Electrician. I have been in the field some 14 years now (4 as an apprentice, 5 as a Line Electrician and 2 as a Plant manager - last 3 years I have been on sabbatical touring!) I had the misfortune to find a nice American girl on my journeys and got married (eck!) and we're going through the tedious process of INS :)

Thanxs in advance,
Shaine Watt

PS yes I've heard every *watt* electrical joke thanxs :p

wattey Good morning I do not know what you will be up against in Delaware, each State is different in how they handle licensing, if they have it at all.

I will suggest to go here to the Non-US Electrical Systems & Trades forum and look for "pauluk" he is a very helpful gentleman who I think has worked here and in the UK.

Go here for a list of each states requirements and contacts for licensing.

Good Luck, Bob

Delaware is a great area to live. When you get closer to moving contact me. I am in the state.
Have you found any answers to transfer(ability) of your qualifications?
