Maybe I'm behind the times but I just now realized that Google can be used as a CALCULATOR. Also, Google can be used to look up DEFINITIONS.
For Calculations you put your problem in the search box and hit Enter (or click on Search Web).
For example I typed in:
five horsepower in watts
and it came back with the answer.
I also tried:
one ounce in tablespoons
and it got it right.
Pretty cool!
For definitions you put the word
define
in front of the word or phrase you want a definition for.
I tried:
define horsepower
and it got it. I clicked on "more definitions" to read more about horsepower.

Google has a Google DESKBAR and a Google TOOLBAR that make it really easy to use the Google Search box. The Google Deskbar sits in your System Tray area, and the Google Toolbar hangs on your Internet Explorer toolbar.
