From a customer specification:

All fuses shall be GOST approved type for use in Russia.

Any assistance on what this involves would be greatly appreciated.

Mr B.

I would ring your fuse supplier and see if they can provide the necessary documents you need. From what I'm seeing on ABB's website, GOST certificates are needed for import and must accompany the item being imported. There also seem to be various GOST types, so it would probably be product specific.

Gost stands for GOsudarstvennyi STandart, or The State Standard.
Not unlike the UL certification, but underwritten by a state-run certification authority.
This site may give you more general info, but like poster #2 said, whatever you are doing, the manufacturer of the product(s) may already have it covered.

Done already.
Rang to get the right guy. Followed it up with an email.
Awaiting results.

My post here was to see if anyone else had more experience/more direct information.

Not directly related to your original post, but all in all, doing business with Russia may become more complicated, now that the EU, the US, and Russia's own reciprocal sanctions are going into effect.
