Gov. and changes in bulbs (lamps)

Got a install we've been doing in stages, and we've been using R30 90w bulbs. Getting ready to do the last stage monday and tuesday, and the supplier is short one bulb. Then he tells me you cant buy them anymore..:mad: This is a unique installation where we needed a reflector backed bulb. Supplies says I'll have to use a par flood.....:mad: Wish, he would have told me before I installed 60 of them. WITH SCAFFOLDING !!!

What's the customers options for replacements....??

I don't think I remember ever seeing a R30-90w. The biggest was R30-75w and those are rare as they have been replaced with R30-65w.

Maybe you need R38-90w. Maybe that is the confusion at the supply house? They are out there.

welcome to the patriot act... a part of that is reducing our dependance
on foreign oil, as that is a threat to the safety of the united states.
incandescent lamps of various flavors are due to be phased out.....

these are the same people who brought you oil import quotas, the volstead
act, and 300 lb auto bumpers..... enjoy.... :D

this light bulb thing is driving me nuts. If I had an extra 20K sitting around, i would warehouse however many incandescent lamps that will get me.
