GRC all the way?

I am doing a commercial project bid and the service will be parallel 3" or 4" to an overhead service feed. The poco needs grc to attach to. My question is, that if I have to go up 20' to the weather head can the first 10' out of the meter socket be emt or does it need to be grc the whole way?

I belive that if it is either a mast or syphon service poco requires it to be all RMC. I would check to see if poco has a guide book

I'd check with your inspector also. I know Washington state doesn't allow EMT for masts. Rigid only.

Just checked and it is GRC all the way.

Many power companies will require the top stick to be a full 10' that means the cut section ends up at the meter base, you will either have to thread the three inch or buy a 3" RMC compression connector.
