Great Northeast Blackout 1965

I would have been 8 years old at the time and if I remember correctly that was how old I was when I got the A2 strain of Hong Kong flu and nearly died. Since the fever I had made me hallucinate severely if there was a black out I probably would not have realized it.

Had I not been sick, I probably could have fixed it in no time if asked.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I was 15 and I don't remember it to be a big deal, now the "Blizzard of 75"

is something I won't forget, people had to dig down to find the top of their

cars.

I remember it well. I thought I caused it. I was working in a store making live connections in a ceiling light and caused a slight arc,and the lights went out,I was in the basement and found my way up to the main floor,to find that the store lights were also out, wow I thought did I trip the main? Then I looked out to see that the street lights were also out. lol

That is how I remember the Northeast Blackout.

I didn't do it, I wasn't even in town that day! Plus I was only seven, but I do remember the term "where were you when the lights went out?" they even made a movie by the same name.

Summer of Sam was also based around the blackout

What I remember most about it is that it was a week night and we were hoping that the power would be off long enough for school to be called off the next day, it wasn't.
