Green liquid coming out of plug

I recently visited a house to look at a sump pump. This style pump has a built in float switch that comes up to the power outlet where the power plug plugs into the switch. When I pulled the two plugs out of the outlet and then pulled them apart I saw some green liquid on the plug prongs. Does anyone know what this might be or why it's there?

Obviously, there is nothing electrically related that would produce this except for possibly electrolysis of copper. I would assume that moisture got into the area and is turning into mold.

I have seen this around a laundry receptacle before and the dryer wasn't vented to the outside as a result moisture was building up in the receptacle box causing the brass buss inside the receptacle to dissolve. Probably due to electrolysis between the contacts.

So that's what they mean when a circuit has juice!

The knowledge one can gain by just listening is amazing!
