Kind of wondering if there have been updates on these meters or maybe I have a dud but I recently upgraded from my trusty 337 to the 376FC. Mostly just had a few instances where I need the FC part. However, probably my biggest complaint is the back light. I use it constantly and it now requires a long press too turn it on, and it times out after only a minute or so, even when taking a reading. I think my 337 was closer to 5-10min. I have lost count already how many times I have been in a tough position taking a reading and the back light goes out!

It seems like such a small thing but I would think most use the backlight a lot and should be a short press. As well, the display does not have near the viewing angle I expected. I think the 337 was much better here.

maybe there is a setting for how long the backlight stays on.

fluke is pretty good about warranty issues from everything I have heard. maybe give them a call.

Not sure just what this snippet from the manual means.

Look at every manual for the 376. Not even worth the read. Called Fluke. After 30min, I left my number for a callback, which never happened.....

Not real impressed here. Is Fluke slipping?

Would not consider this "advertising"

But, no callback, that sucks, and indicates that Fluke is indeed slipping if this is not a one-time failure.

Myself and I'm sure most of the sparkies here call tech support pretty much..

I had an 87 quit, took it to Graybar, and our inside sales guy sent it off, came back like brand new. They cleaned the case and everything. Didn’t cost me anything, but then the amount of business we give Graybar, when we say jump, they ask how high! LOL!

So some people think "I" am somehow advertising for Fluke? LMAO! I thought that was just a spam post. Everyone on this site knows of them, and I am basically demoting them. I have called twice, put on eternal hold, and never called back. I realize their reply is 98% likely to be the canned response of "we are so sorry, but have a great day".
I think that is great if you drop $1M in business with them and they fix a meter for you, but honestly, if they want to hold their head that high, I need to find a different meter.

That's correct the response was to a spam post as shown in the quote. Slam Fluke all you want. I too have had a lousy customer service experience with them.

I’ve been lucky enough that, other than the T+Pros and meggers, my Flukes are all over 15 years old and haven’t given a bit of trouble. I have an older single phase PQ meter I sent in to be upgraded and calibrated that the default date is in the 90s. I believe it went to someplace in Washington state, but again 15 years or more ago.

Point being, they were good and worth the money at one time.

Then again, so was I, at one time.
