Ground Bus on Wall vs. Panel

Hi guys,

looking at a design where the ground bus seems to be mounted directly to the wall (see attached image).

I don't understand why not just use the main panelboard ground bus? Maybe I am missing something?

Quite common in commercial buildings especially in service and IT rooms.

I agree, I see this done in a lot of large commercial or industrial jobs.

It is often used to connect multiple GECs from transformers.
