Ground bus size

HI Friends, is there any code or regulation require that ground bus should be 50% rated current in low voltage switchgear ?Thanks!

50%? No. For 4000 amp switchgear and switchboards we typically see 1/4" X 3" copper EGC bus.

Something like that would be in a UL standard. I have no idea what the requirement is based on.

Leo I firmly believed there was a chart with busbar sizing in gear but I had zero luck finding it or anything related to it except intersystem bonding.
