Ground Conductor to water pipe

Is there a requirement to install ground wire from mobile generator to water pipe on 208/120Y system? Or can the ground wires from generator attach too service ground wire at switchboard? What qualifies as a SDS? Since it mobile, consider it temporary.

If the generator is connected as a SDS, it will need to be grounded per the provisions of 250.30 of the NEC.

Is this generator temporary or permanent?
Is it for Art 700, 701, or 702?

You should read the definition of Separately Derived System. You may need to take a look at 250.34/250.30.
