Ground Fault Interruption Circuit, Overhead Crane control circuit, pushbutton protect

I recently ran into a problem where a customer of mine sent a worker to the hospital because they had an electrical issue with a pushbutton pendant the operator received a shock from. He inquired if he could purchase a 24 volt control circuit which would be costly due to the purchase and installation costs of a control transformer and all the contactor, relay coils. I understand that the control transformer X2 side is immediately grounded at the transformer but I was thinking the wire coming back as X2 could run through the neutral terminations of the Ground fault breaker before being terminated at the transformer. Have you ever heard of this type of installation of a breaker on an overhead crane?

No I have not.

But I will point out that the cost to the company for that employees ER trip likely greatly exceeds the cost of making low voltage controls.
