Question: In 480/277V system, if service switch has ground fault protection, does generator 1000A main breaker (480v) require to have ground fault protection?
Generator is not emergency 700 or legally required standby 701.

So the generator conductors are feeder conductors? If yes then the GFPE is required. Look at 215.10.

I thought that when there is ground fault protection on the service switch, the feeder does not need ground fault protection. 240.13 maybe?
