We have a facility using a 277/480V 1200A transfer switch ahead of existing main. We usually treat the t-switch as the new main and bond accordingly. However, the manufacturer has note on equipment that bonding G-N in the t-switch will negate ground fault sensing device that is installed.
The generator is not a separately derived system as neutral isn't switched.
We obviously want the neutral grounded at the 1st means of disconnect as required but do not want to disrupt the required ground fault protection. Anyone ran into this before?
