I have a 1600A main breaker in a system, and it's the only device with a ground fault trip function. In my coordination study, is it reasonable to plot this curve against the phase function of downstream devices to demonstrate selectivity during ground faults?

If this is the only ground fault equipped circuit breaker in the system you simply just need to coordinate with the breaker curves downstream. If the are other ground fault equipped breakers downstream you would want the ground fault settings to coordinate so the downstream GF breaker trips first.

If this ground fault device is required by 230.95 or the similar requirements that exist for feeders and branch circuits, it is not always possible to have a selectively coordinated system and comply with setting requirements in 230.95.
