Ground mount transformer question

Large ground transformer, Delta/Wye, to a hotel 1000Amp distribution inside hotel. Is humming at transformer normal? Minimal loads on at time. Haven't heard one doing that before, but not a lot of experience around them. Question comes to mind as a result of another thread.
 
Yes, transformer hum comes from the core laminations vibrating.

That said, I haven't heard crickets, unaided, in years.
Same here. It's amazing the things that started working again after I got hearing aids, like the beeps from my microwave oven and the key chime in my car. 🤔
 
I find that the older they are the louder they are. New pad mounts are super quiet. I've always thought that no load losses correlates accurately with sound level. I can listen to a transform and tell you the no load losses within five Watts (kidding).
