Hello all. I'm running #3 thhn for a 125 amp pool sub panel. I was wondering if I could run #6 thhn for the ground and nuetral wires. Its a 90' run in underground electrical epvc.

I can not (ethically) answer your question because #3, even copper, is not large enough for a 125 amp feeder.

You need to make the overcurrent protective device 100 amps assuming 75C. A number 6 would be fine for both the neutral and equipment grounding conductor if the load doesn't require more.

Do you mean the sub panel is rated for 125 amps?
As Dennis said, the answer depends on the OPD
