I came across a ground bar bolted to a wall with maybe a size 2/0 cable coming up through a floor and then I see the same size wire coming up through the floor bolted to the frame of a emergency deisle generator. Just wondering could this be the other end of the cable attached to the GB on the wall ? Also is this a standard practice ?
THANKS to any and all posts.

Typical in highly engineered buildings.

There is often a grounding conductor that is direct buried and pops up at items like building steel, transformers, generators, services etc.

Just a guess that you are in one of the many biotech labs in Metrowest.

If you happen to shop at Wegmens in Northboro there are hundreds if not thousands of feet of 750 bare copper burred under it running around to electrical and data rooms.
