Ground Question

I am running a new circuit around my shop. It will be made of PVC conduit and METAL outlet boxes. This circuit will consist of 2 separate 20 amp 120v circuits and one 240v circuit. The two MWBC 20 amp 120's will be wired with #12 stranded and the 240v with #8 stranded. The ground wire for the 240 circuit will be sheathed # 8, not a bare ground. I have 2 pretty basic questions.

1. Since you are only required to have one common ground wire per PVC conduit run and this one will have a #8 and I don't think #8 will fit the ground screw on the 120V outlets (wouldn't want to fight with it even if it would), can I pigtail off the 220V #8 ground circuit with #12 ground pigtails for the 120v outlets or does all grounds regardless of circuit, voltage and amps have to stay #8. If it has to stay #8, I'll just run 2 grounds, a #8 and a #12. I believe the #12 pigtails would be OK since they are to a smaller and different circuit.

2. Based on the answer to question 1, I will have either 1 #8 common ground or 2 common grounds (1 #8 and 1 #12) running through this PVC. I will have a ground pigtail to each outlet in each box but since the metal boxes are connected by means of PVC conduit, do I also have to connect a ground to the actual metal outlet boxes too?
