If a meter pedestal(served by a utility provider) is grounded with A 3/4" rod in the base, and meters and mains are mounted on the pedestal,is a ground rod required for these?
Would a rod for each service be a supplementary electrode, and not required by NEC?

Not sure I understand your question either. The meter ped would be outside of NEC control. Where is your service disconnect?

Buck, it is probably a 10' x 3/4" rod.
Dave answered the question. Thanks, the disconnect would be on the load side of the meter. Which is on the customer side and the rod (inside ped) is, of course part of the utility provider's equipment and not accessible. Thanks again, just needed another brain to help me stir the synapses.
