As Zog said by way of Megger publication testing for ground resistance is not that simple (two wires). Then even after you have the results you have to have some insight as to whether or not the test is valid or if you need to redo the test with more spacing between the test probes. Generally we will perform 4 seperate test (10 measurements per test) to obtain a reading that will be submitted to the end user.

Brian, do you submit a graph? I am a firm believer in making test reports easy for the customer to understand, when I explain the importance of the flat region of the graph they seem to understand.
