If you could get 25 ohm's or less with one rod then 1. But it is not realistic to get 25 or less on one rod. Otherwise 2 rods space at minimum 6 feet apart to meet code. If possible, the rods should be spaced at twice the rod length. i.e. 8-foot rods spaced 16 feet apart or more.
