ground wire

Recently we had a electrical problem here at work.

We have many transformer on the property aand we had this happen. In one of our transformer a #6 gauge wire , which was ground absolutly burned to a crisp causing some problems.

I would like to know what do you or other fell can be the cause of this to happen.

was it a ground wire to a ground rod?

did you replace it yet?

what happened?

any other problems at the same time?

We need to know the size and type of transformer, Voltage, primary side overcurrent protection and what type of load is served.

Otherwise install a vire big enough for the size of the transformer. I can only guess that the #6 was connected to XO. If its a wire connected as a neutral and its a wye transformer 120/208 then again the wire is too small.
