If running three phase 208 VAC and neutral in a rubber jacketed cable does a fifth conductor have to be included in the cable for grounding purposes? This cable will be utilized temporarily in emergency situations to provide an alternate source of power and will not be routed in raceway..

Welcome to the forum.

If whatever you are powering up for emergencies requires grounding and bonding (Which it most likely will) then the cable must include an equipment grounding conductor.
