I see definition NEC 2014 section 100 Grounded(grounding) to be connected(connecting) to ground or to a conductive body that extends the ground connection.

Little confused Questions:

1. The conductive body that extends the ground connection would this body can be equipment grounding conductors which eventually connect to grounding electrode system or is it grounding electrodes or is it reinforced steel in concrete steel tie together? If not then what can this be as example?

2. Connected(connecting) to ground would be the grounding electrode conductor connecting to grounding electrodes directly to ground. No?

Sorry but I hope you all don’t close this thread. Sorry for ignorance but I do appreciate all your input.

1. Earth is always ground, ground is not always earth. Structural metal can extend the ground connection.
2. Yes
3. Go to you tube and look for videos by mike hlot on grounding
