I have a project that needs a sliding gate to be grounded. the reason for this is that in the specification it calls for every 3rd post be grounded within 100' of 2 medium voltage pad mount transformers. The gate is about 30' from the transformer so we have bonded the post as required along with the 2 post that are closet to the gate opening. This gate is 20' long. In the specifications it shows swing gates with ground straps on the hinge sides. there has been no input from the engineer of record. Is there a cord reel grounding system that could be used to ground the gate. Thanks in advance

I have seen cord reels used for static grounding at loading docks. That would be about the only way to do this. They would be an attractive item of theft placing on the inside in a box would be more secure option
